The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 640

Kingston spat out coldly, "No!"

Upon hearing that, Carmen's face turned livid. "You… You're just as heartless as your father! Take a look around you—do you see any of your family here?

"No, right? That's because anyone who's associated with your family would end up getting cursed! You… You're a monster! You'll definitely end up terribly!"

After she berated him, Carmen got up from the floor and swore at Kingston as she took her leave, leaving Kingston standing frozen in his spot like a statue.

A long while later, Kingston stiffly moved to the washroom in the yard and pushed the door open, dropping his pants before he proceeded to sit on the toilet.

Matthew could feel the pressure Kingston was facing even from the yard, and somehow, he felt a trace of pity toward the man whose tongue was so poisonous he could make people cry. Right now, Matthew didn't know how he should approach Kingston and talk to him either.

All of a sudden, he heard muffled and broken sobs coming from the side. When Matthew turned his head toward the washroom, he noticed that the doors were left open and that Kingston was sitting on the toilet with both his hands covering his face.

As Kingston was whimpering softly, his body began to tremble. The more he cried, the more he lost control over his emotions, and it turned his sobs into deafening wails that even Matthew felt inexplicably distressed for him.

Watching Kingston, Matthew wanted to step in and pacify him. However, he decided against it after moments of hesitation—perhaps it would be better for Kingston to cry it all out to feel better later on. After all, he was in a pretty despondent situation.

Around ten minutes later, Kingston washed his hands and exited the washroom, his expression turning awkwardly stiff when he saw Matthew, who was still in the yard. "Why haven't you left?"

Then, Matthew replied, "I won't leave until I get my hands on the Plague Compendium and Miracle Healing Banner, so can we have a good talk?"

Upon hearing that, Kingston's expression turned cold. "There's nothing for us to talk about. I don't have the things you're looking for."
