Nolan had already left, so Tony had to figure out how to pay for the meal by himself.

After saying goodbye, Matthew came back to the table and noticed Tony hadn't touched his cutlery or taken a bite. Feeling puzzled, he asked, "Why aren't you eating?"

The food was delicious!

Tony scooped up some pasta with his fork and thought it tasted pretty great. Despite that, he wasn't in the mood to eat. He was too busy thinking about how he'd pay for the bill.

As the other customers gradually left the restaurant, Matthew and Tony were the only ones left, sitting side by side and eating.

Matthew grabbed a piece of garlic bread and handed one to Tony. He took one for himself and started enjoying his pasta.

He devoured his food in no time, wolfing down his pasta in just one minute. After setting down his cutlery on the plate, he grabbed himself a cup of water and drank it in one go.

Upon noticing Tony blankly stared at the pasta, Matthew chuckled and remarked, "Come on. Time to eat. This one's on me."

Tony shook his head. "That won't do. You saved my life. I have to treat you to this meal. I can't be ungrateful."

Matthew felt speechless. Since it was just a plate of pasta, how did this turn into a big deal about gratitude? Wasn't that a little extreme?

Still, he figured it was time to get straight to the point. "I'm with the medical sects, and I came here specifically for you. Saving you was just a coincidence, so no need to dwell on it."

Medical sects?

When Tony heard that, his eyes were wide open.

After staring at Matthew for a long time, Tony finally broke the silence. "Do you have any proof that you're from the medical sects?"

Having dealt with this situation a few times, Matthew held out his Juprus Ring. "Does this confirm who I am?"

As Matthew spoke, he placed his hand in front of Tony, inviting Tony to look closely. Holding his hand, Tony carefully examined the ring and remained silent for a while.

Matthew didn't know if Tony had ever come across Juprus Ring. If he had, it'd make things simpler. If not, things might get tricky.
