“Forget it. I’m not that desperate either.”
Seeing that Natasha was unmoved, Edgar couldn’t help but laugh as he sat in his chair.
Natasha said, “Concluding this deal with me will be no loss to you. If Poly Pharmaceutical gets its hands on the Cerebral Neurotrophic Solution from Northern Biotech, it will be able to expand its business soon. I wasn’t asking for the Carter Group’s mine for free either. I will pay 800 million dollars. This deal is nothing but beneficial to you…”
Edgar smiled and said, “I refuse!”
“Why?” Natasha asked.
Edgar casually replied, “I don’t want to do business with people related to the Mendez family. It’s that simple.”
Natasha was surprised.
Her expression changed as she sneered, “You’re so childish!”
Edgar shrugged and asked, ”Do you really think that without your help, I can’t get hold of Northern Biotech’s Cerebral Neurotrophic Solution? Aren’t you thinking too highly of yourself?”
Natasha was indifferent. She obviously thought that what Edgar said was nonsense.
“This new Cerebral Neurotrophic Solution will eventually fall into the hands of Poly Pharmaceutical. If you don’t believe it, let’s make a bet,” Edgar said with a smile.
Natasha couldn’t be bothered with him as she turned and walked towards the door.
After a few steps, Edgar said, “If I lose, I will persuade the Carter Group of Manskarta to sell their iron mine to you.”
Natasha stopped in her tracks and turned to look at him.
Edgar continued to ask, “Then, what if you lose?”
His expression made Natasha feel sick, and she replied, ”I won’t lose this time!”
Edgar laughed, “Then it seems there is nothing else for me to say.”
Natasha grinned and said, “Alright, let’s bet. I’d like to see how you’ll get Northern Biotech’s Cerebral Neurotrophic Solution without my help!”
Natasha then opened the door and walked out. The chandeliers in the room shook as she slammed the door shut.
I thought that she would have adjusted her mindset. But with a little push, she’s back to her usual self…
Edgar smiled arrogantly as he lazily placed his legs on the table.
“The nickname, Gambling Monster, isn’t for nothing. No matter how powerful Northern Biotech is, it is still a semi state-owned enterprise. And since it is a semi state-owned enterprise, how can it be subjected to state intervention!”
Edgar then adjusted his posture, took out his phone and made a call.
After Natasha walked out of Poly Pharmaceutical, she made a call and said, “The deal fell through. Or to say, it’s only halfway through. I made a bet with him. He said he could get the Cerebral Neurotrophic Solution from Northern Biotech Without my help. If he fails to, he will persuade the Carter Group to sell the mine to me.”
Upon hearing this, the other party fell silent and then said, “You’re running out of chances. Make the most of it.”
Natasha’s face stiffened, then she replied coldly, “I don’t need anyone reminding me. I will manage on my own!”
She hung up the phone and sighed.
Soon, she entered a hotel and met Alder, the chairman of Northern Biotech.
“Ms. Porter, I thought you would never return to Mimar City!” Alder was surprised when he saw Natasha.
“Mr. Alder, have you decided on a partner for the new Cerebral Neurotrophic Solution that your company has developed in Neva Province?” Natasha asked with a smile.
