Chapter 141
With things progressing in the right trajectory, Stephen had a lot more free time at hand, so he decided to return to Riveria for a while.
“Do you want to come with me?” Stephen asked Snow.
“I’ll go wherever you go.” She nodded.
Over the past two weeks, their relationship had grown significantly intimate, and Stephen had thought of a way to break the news to Rachel.
Being with Rachel was the decision made by the two famillies, but Snow was his true love. Hence, he decided he would bring Snow along to meet Rachel and make Snow his lover.
Rachel, thrilled to have learned that Stephen was coming back, drove to the airport to pick him up. However, when she saw him walking out hand in hand with a girl, she felt completely blindsided.
Only when Stephen came up to her did she snap back to reality. She took a deep breath, trying to persuade herself that maybe it was just Stephen’s colleague.
Stephen said, “Let me introduce you. This is Snow. You can treat her like your sister from
now on.”

“Hello, Rachel. It’s nice to finally meet you,” Snow said sweetly, acting all innocent.
Those words hit Rachel like a bolt of lightning, and the color drained from her face.
Sister? She understood exactly what that meant. Snow was Stephen’s lover, not her ‘sister‘.
“Why?”
Rachel could not accept it. In just less than two months, Stephen had come back with another woman.
“There’s no reason for love. I love her,” Stephen said, his face expressionless.
“What about me? What does she have that I don’t?” Rachel screamed.
Alarmed by her sharp scream, everyone stared at them.
Stephen felt embarrassed. As a Quinn, he was someone others admired, not the subject of their gossip and ridicule.
“Let’s talk about this when we get back.”
Stephen tried to hold Rachel’s hand, but she shook his hand away and shouted, “You must explain yourself first!”
Seeing a crowd gathering and people pulling out their phones, Stephen grew annoyed.

“Smack!”
He slapped Rachel in the face and bellowed, “Don’t forget who you are and who I am to you!”
Rachel covered her face, in utter disbellef that Stephen slapped her because of another
woman.
For some reason, she thought of Ethan. Over the three years they had been together, Ethan had never showered interest in another woman, let alone raised his hands at her.
Stephen, on the other hand, had slapped her because of another woman in just a month and a half of their relationship. How was she supposed to spend the rest of her life with him?
Rachel dared
not even imagine the future.
“Get in the car!” Stephen ordered while dragging her into the car.
Back home, George was also surprised to see Stephen with snow, but he quickly pieced everything together.
“sigh.” He simply sighed, feeling helpless.
He understand that due to Stephen’s status, it was common for the man to have multiple women around him. That was just how powerful families like the Quinns operated, but it pained him to see his daughter having to suffer like that.
At that thought, he glanced at Rachel and noticed the red mark on her face from the slap. His heart lurched. Did Stephen slap her?
George rushed over to check on her. Thankfully the slap did not hurt her looks.
He wanted to scold Stephen, but considering the need to maintain the relationship with the Quinns, he stomached his grievance and swallowed his words.
“Try to talk it out instead of choosing violence. We’re family, after all,” he suggested.
