“Why?” Stephen looked at Snow in surprise. Why was she warning him about her adoptive father?

Stephen frowned. Oliver and the others were up to no good?

Stephen continued to sit there, staring at the empty space on the other side of the glass. He felt as if something was missing from his heart too. 

Finally, he staggered to his feet and walked out in a daze. 

With the entire internet watching, he had no choice but to follow Simon’s plan. Any misstep could be devastating. 

Not long after, Simon sent him the statement. 

Stephen looked at the words on the paper, each one piercing his eyes like a knife stabbing his body mercilessly. 

In the evening, he held a press conference and made a public apology. 

“There are rumors online about my relationship with Snow Green and that I intend to release her. Allow me to clarify: these are all false. 

“I have no relationship with Snow, but even if there was, it would be one of hatred! I, Stephen Quinn, will fight against all criminal forces and wrongdoers to the end!”

Simon pulled some strings to have the whole internet witness Stephen’s declaration.
