Simon thought about it, realizing it might be part of Ethan’s scheme. Ethan could be using the Quinns to cut ties with Riveria once and for all!

He then hung up the call, feeling a headache coming. He thought they had won, but now he realized they had lost again. All the pressure was falling on Stephen’s shoulders. 

In Celestial City, Stephen immediately ordered a stage to be built for the speech after hanging up the call. 

He chose to speak in the streets to seem more approachable to the public. That way, the online criticism of him would lighten up. It would also prove that Celestial City was safe. 

When James learned of Stephen’s plan to give a speech, he quickly reported it to the South Regent. 

The South Regent chuckled. “Is he trying to use the identity of the Grand Marshal’s mentee to prove that Celestial City is safe? Let’s see if he’s worthy to be called the Grand Marshal’s mentee. Send a few people to watch the speech.” 

James said, “Understood.” 

Two days later, the day of the speech arrived. What attracted people’s attention was a billboard on the stage. It showed a picture of Stephen in a sleek suit, looking charismatic, mature, and dependable. 

With the crowd’s eyes on him, Stephen slowly made his way onto the stage. He waved to the audience, signaling them to quieten down before pulling out his script. 

“Hello, everyone. I’m Stephen Quinn, also known as the only mentee of the Grand Marshal. I know many of you have doubted me, but I want you to believe that I will lead Riveria to greatness. 

“Due to the recent kidnapping of Richard Okane by the South Regent, many people think Celestial City is not safe anymore. However, I want to assure you that you have nothing to worry about! 

“Three years ago, I had faced off the South Regent multiple times, but not once did he win!
