Chapter 363
Chapter 363
Everyone now knew that Stephen had been mocked by all his enemies at his wedding. The South Regent had even sent him a blood–stained bullet, signaling his intent for revenge.
In spite of such a massive show of disrespect, Stephen did not dare to say a word. All he did was call the police after the aggressors had fled making him look pathetic.
“He’s destroyed the Quinn family’s reputation.”
“Is he really the Grand Marshal’s mentee? He’s such a coward.”
“If he were truly the Grand Marshal’s mentee, would the South Regent act so brazenly?”
“If he can’t handle it, maybe we should bring back the person who used to manage Riveria.
Reading the online comments almost made Stephen throw his phone in rage.
Rachel, who had just showered and changed into casual clothes, glanced at Stephen and said, “Don’t come near me until you figure out what you did wrong.”
Then, she went upstairs to her room, and the door slammed shut.
Stephen hung his head low. Sitting on the sofa, he could not understand what he had done
wrong.
The bride had run off to find another man, his enemy had mocked him, and the South. Regent had issued him a warning. Worst of all, the bride would not let him into her room.
It was the night of his wedding, and they were sleeping in separate rooms! His reputation, along with the Quinns, was in tatters.
Stephen tried knocking on Rachel’s door, but there was no response, not even after a while.
He thought about calling George and Simon. However, as he took out his phone, he recalled Ethan’s words.
“When will you understand that you’re not a child anymore?”
At the same time, he recalled the guilt he felt toward George.
Stephen put down his phone, knowing just how humiliating it would be if he made that call. Imagine calling his father–in–law on his wedding night, begging him to convince his wife to open the door.
He sighed, deciding to talk things through with Rachel tomorrow. He returned to his room, tossing and turning for hours. He could not stop thinking about everything that had happened that day. Frustration gnawed at him, and it was not until 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. that he finally fell asleep.

The next day, Stephen emerged from his room with dark circles under his eyes. When George and Simon came to visit, the sight of him looking so exhausted made them chuckle.
“Young people have so much energy.” They smiled and said, “But you shouldn’t stay up too late.”
Stephen stayed quiet.
Stay up too late? He had not even touched Rachel last night!
Nevertheless, he could not exactly tell them that, so he just nodded and said, “I understand.”
Rachel served them tea, and Simon’s approval of her grew even stronger.
Simon said to Stephen, “I’ll be returning to Metropolis later. Don’t you dare mistreat Rachel. If you ever hurt her, I won’t let you off easy.”
“I wouldn’t dare hurt her,” Stephen responded, but deep down, he felt wronged.
He had gone through so much out there, yet there was no comfort offered to him at home. Instead, he had to figure out how he had upset Rachel in the first place.
Simon then turned to Rachel. “Rachel, if he bullies you, just call me. I’ll help you get back
