Chapter 391
Andy understood how much those people longed for Ethan’s arrival. However, it suddenly struck him that Ethan was locked up on Drakthorn Ridge, which meant they would never see him.
Andy said powerlessly, “I’m sorry.”
He felt that he was too weak. The apology was not only directed at Ethan but also at himself and all the people who had sacrificed themselves for him.
Ethan said, “You can go now.”
Andy looked at Ethan and finally said, “Thank you.”
Then, he turned around and slowly walked away
Marcus also lowered his head in respect. “Thank you.”
While he hurried after Andy, Stephen stood frozen, staring at Ethan without saying a word. He had come today to take down Ethan but the whole plan had backfired, leaving him furious.
He gritted his teeth in frustration. If he had known, he would not have hosted a livestream. Now, everyone knew that he had put Andy in danger, and worst of all, Ethan’s reputation improved!
Without wasting any time, he fled. He had to smooth things over before they worsened.
When the reporters and cameramen saw that everyone had left, they quickly left as well, and peace returned to Ethan’s mansion.
As Andy and Marcus neared the foot of the mountain, Stephen caught up to them.
He said to Andy, “I’m sorry. I really didn’t know things would turn out this
way.”
Andy glanced at him coldly. After everything that had happened, their relationship was beyond repair. He would never call Stephen his good friend again. In fact, he hated Stephen, not just for endangering his life but also for causing the deaths of the people who saved him.
Even more than that, it was because Stephen locked Ethan up there. None of this would have happened if Ethan had not been imprisoned in Drakthorn Ridge.
Andy asked Stephen, “Do you really think he’s being confined here?”
Stephen frowned, confused. “What do
you mean?”
“It’s simple,” said Andy. “You can’t lock Ethan up. None of you can. He has already left the mountain.”
Stephen stiffened, a chill running down his spine as he whipped his head around, staring up at the mountain trail behind them. There was no one on the mountain path. Ethan was not there

Andy nodded. “I’m going to learn from him! He doesn’t want to help those people because of you, so I’ll go in his place.”
Stephen staggered back and almost lost his balance in fear.
He had always wanted to take down Ethan, surpass him, and erase him. However, his childhood friend, Andy, wanted to learn from Ethan and do what Ethan would have done!
Stephen’s lips trembled. His friend had taken Ethan’s side. He never would have imagined something like that could happen.
Andy gave him a long, hard look before saying, “Goodbye.”
With that, he turned and walked away, taking Marcus with him.
Stephen watched Andy leave in a daze. First, it was Snow, the woman he loved who left because of Ethan. Now, his friend Andy was also leaving because of Ethan.
“No!” Stephen shouted at the sky.
