The Guardian's Return (Ethan Rivers) novel Chapter 473

Austin was stunned. He turned to Rachel, and cold sweat trickled down his forehead. For the first time, he was truly afraid. There was more than one problem here!

He took a deep breath and said, “Would you mind elaborating?”

Rachel slightly lowered her head. “I lived under the same roof with him for three years, but when he found out I had to marry Stephen, he left me.

“On the day of the wedding, I went to him in my wedding dress, but he refused to take me away. I want him back in my life.”

She told Austin about her history with Ethan, but most were false. She was the one who betrayed Ethan, but she said Ethan left her.

Austin found himself in a difficult spot again. He knew Rachel was married to the man inside the room, on the bed, and be it the man’s status or background, almost no other men in Riveria could beat him.

As for Ethan, he only knew the man from what he had read online. Ethan was a criminal whose actions had caused chaos and destruction. The man should be executed a long time ago. He did not understand why Rachel would fall for him and why she was still thinking about him.

“Stephen is better than Ethan. Ethan is a criminal, and you won’t end well with him. Staying with Stephen is the best choice for you,” Austin said.

Rachel shook her head. “Ethan would never hit me, but Stephen has hit me a few times already.”

Austin saw the slap mark on her face.

“Maybe he’s just tired. Ethan is a criminal, and if he resorts to violence, it will be much worse than this,” he said.

“Loving a person that you should not is as dangerous as suicide. Why not try some new hobbies or work in charity? Something to keep your mind off Ethan and help you move on..”

Rachel looked at Austin and knew the man was not the help she needed. Hence, she sighed and went back into the ward with her head lowered.

Austin did not know if his words managed to change Rachel’s mind, but he believed Ethan should be executed for what he did. Not only did Ethan mess up Riveria, but he messed up Stephen’s wife as well.
