Benny quickly left with his team.
After he left, East World Hotel was peaceful again.
“Alright, Commander. Benny won’t cause any more trouble. He doesn’t have the guts.” Derrick said to Nana with a chuckle.
Nana smiled as he nodded. He knew this was going to happen.
With Derrick and Gabe as stakeholders in East World Hotel, who else in Midwich could touch East World Hotel?
“Commander, we’re leaving if there’s nothing else…” Derrick asked with a smile.
“Yeah, that’s all. Let’s have a drink again later,” Nana said to Derrick and Gabe.
Derrick and Gabe nodded in agreement. After exchanging a few pleasantries, they walked out of East World Hotel’s entrance.
Cheryl and the rest went back to work.
Nana went back to his suite.
Vivian soon came back from his outing. He had gone to withdraw some money.
Nana said they would go to Lyla’s nightclub tonight before Derrick and Gabe arrived, so Vivian excitedly went to the bank to get cash. Although card payment was common nowadays, cash was sometimes needed.
“Gabe and Derrick are gone? I thought I could meet them,” Vivian said, carrying a briefcase.
The briefcase was bulging. Needless to say, it was full of cash.
“They signed the contract and left without delay, but the taxation bureau came and said there had been a tip-off to look into our hotel’s accounts, but Derrick took care of them,” Nana said flatly.
Vivian instantly frowned at this. “Someone tipped them off? Who? Who has the nerve to do so?”
Nana exhaled gently and said, “It’s either the Sheldon family or the Jensen family. I think it’s more likely the Jensen family.”
“I think so too. The only bigshot family we’ve offended since we came to Midwich is the Jensen family. And the Sheldon family is barely included. If anyone’s going to come after us, it’s the Jensen family. Commander, shall we do anything to the Jensen family?” Vivian asked immediately.
Nana glared at Vivian and said, “Do anything? How do you want to do it? Knock on their door and kill Fernando and Jonathan? This isn’t the battlefield. Fernando and Jonathan aren’t enemies. We can’t kill them for a minor issue like this. Besides, we don’t even have proof. It’s just speculation.”
Vivian scratched the back of his head and chuckled.
Without further comment, Nana asked, “By the way, how much have you withdrawn?”
“One million dollars,” Vivian answered immediately.
“One million dollars? Why did you withdraw so much money? We’re not buying the nightclub.” Nana could not help laughing.
Vivian was so up-front.
