Xue Yahui looked down to see the caracal from before. He was of course fighting again with the same two cougars from the night before, but this fight was one against one.
"We haven't finished the last fight yet!"
They were fighting with weapons rather than their beast forms. In the spar, they were not allowed to use their beast forms since it would count as unfair. Along with depending on their fighting skills more than their beasts to do the work all the time.
Xue Yahui was watching how they fought with each other. He had then noticed that the other fellow who was with the other cougar was secretly holding a small dagger in his sleeve from afar.
Xue Yahui had a few of his marbles in his hands. Holding a single one, he flicked it which flew hitting the man's dagger which dropped. Everyone stopped once they heard the man hissing in pain with the dagger falling out.
"What is this?!" The Lieutenant was watching them, but he did not think there was one with a secret weapon. Taking the dagger, he sniffed it smelling a hint of poison on it. "What is the meaning of this?! A weapon dipped in poison! You know the rules! I see that you do not obey it at all! You will be dismissed from your duty as of today!"
The lieutenant was angered knowing how he had trained a fellow man who should have known the tile of the feline clan. It was great dishonor in his eyes to see that one could not obey it. "It wasn't my idea! Please give me another chance!"
Xue Yahui smirked seeing how one begging was amusing, but the other just watched. 'Why don't you be apart of it as well?' Xue Yahui knew that the other was going to expose his friend or maybe someone else.
"It wasn't just me! It was his idea!" Seeing him point at the caracal fellow, Xue Yahui sighed seeing how annoying this was.
"Jiang Gen? Don't tell me this was your idea." The lieutenant looked to Jiang Gen in disbelief that he would be apart of it.
Jiang Gen did not care what they thought of him. He knew that they would try to pull something like that up. "You can think as you please, but I will tell you. I wasn't the one who planned that." Jiang Gen looked to them, but even his fellow comrades did not know if it was true or not. He was usually quiet and no one knew what was on his mind. "Whoever you wish to believe is your own thoughts." Waiting for them to say or do something, but no one did anything. "I see. I'll pack my things then."
Xue Yahui smiled seeing how Jiang Gen was one of a kind. He did not care about what others thought of him, nor did he care if they blamed him. Xue Yahui got up from his seat. "Lord Xue, is something not to your liking?" The guard questioned seeing how Xue Yahui hadn't picked a guard yet to see if they would pick him.
"Sort of. These men are great and all, but..." Xue Yahui could see that there were all good men, but they lacked loyalty and judgement from others.
"May I ask something?"
Xue Yahui didn't think that Jiang Gen would be one for asking quite a few questions, but it was a start to getting to know someone. "Go ahead."
"Why did you want a personal guard? You are known for having great fighting skills. What's the point of having a personal guard?"
Xue Yahui was right for choosing this fellow to work alongside him. "I didn't exactly want a personal guard." Jiang Gen didn't know what was Xue Yahui wanted now. He was confused to the point of wanting to ask more questions. "They say it's good to have someone work alongside you even when you skilled at fighting. There's always something we are not good at. I wanted someone who can work alongside me and be loyal to me. Not judge on ones background or history." Both stopped making it to a home that was a bit run down. "Is this where you live?"
"En, sorry about the entire look of it." Jiang Gen apologized when both men heard a woman.
"Jiang Gen, your home?" Both saw a woman walking out to greet them both.
