With a sharp laugh, Selena continued, "All these years of suffering, all the pain I endured, it was all because of you.

"Grace, even if my dad was not your biological son, did I deserve to be abandoned? You had your brother sell me, leaving me to a fate worse than death, while you lived your life as the esteemed matriarch and chairwoman. Were the Langley family so poor that they couldn't afford to raise a child?

"Oh wait, no, you did raise someone. You raised Natalie just so she could be a living blood bank for your family. Grace, you don't love anyone but yourself."
