The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 490

"Alright." Natalie looked at Hector's pained expression. He stepped forward and hugged him. "Thank you, Hector."

"Nat, don't ever feel bad for those bastards in the Langley family. If you want to know anything, there's no need to be polite with Grace. I can send someone over to make her spill everything," Hector said.

He hugged Natalie carefully in his arms. If only Natalie had grown up with them, she wouldn't have had her blood drained by the Langleys, nor would she have been exploited for so many years.

"There's no need for that. She'll come begging for me to talk to her." Natalie smiled faintly. She pulled out her phone and waved it at Hector. "The moment you splashed the tea at her and cursed her out, I had already made the arrangements. For now, let's head to the hotel and get some proper rest."

"Alright."

Hector had come along on this trip to assist Natalie, but neither of them had expected that Laura's Umbrahex would somehow be linked to the Langleys.

The connection only proved one thing, which was Grace had been scheming for years.

However, without knowing her true motives, no one could be certain whether other people were involved in this. Especially now that Cassie was missing, Cindy was dead, and the Langleys trying to silence Julie, everything pointed to a much deeper conspiracy.

Natalie and Hector continued talking. When they entered the car, they instructed Yolanda to drive them to the Four Seasons Hotel.

Back at the Langley residence, Grace sat motionlessly on the couch for a long time. She only returned to her senses when a helper called out to her cautiously.

"Mrs. Langley Senior, Ms. Natalie has left," the helper said carefully. "Shall we still prepare breakfast for her?"

"No need." Grace waved her hand wearily. "Has Victor and Diana woken up yet? Wake them up. I need to speak with them."

The helper hesitated, and her expression shifted. After a while, she shook her head and said cautiously, "Mrs. Langley Senior, while you were speaking with Ms. Walker earlier, they were already downstairs. They… they…"

"What about them?" Grace pulled a tissue and wiped the tea off her face. "Speak up! Why are you stuttering?"

The helper mustered her courage and replied, "They were hiding by the stairs. They were likely eavesdropping on your conversation with Ms. Walker."

"What?" Grace shot up from the sofa in shock. "Where are they now?"

The helper trembled in fear but forced herself to respond, "They left through the back door just moments ago."

Grace slumped back onto the couch, waving a hand to dismiss the helper without saying another word.

Once Grace was alone, she pressed her fingers against her forehead. After a moment of thinking, she entered her room. Then, she opened a safe and retrieved a phone that had been switched off for years.

She plugged it in to charge, and after a few minutes, powered it on. After waiting for a while, she entered the passcode to unlock it and opened the contact list. There was only one number inside without a saved name.

Grace dialed the number. The phone rang for a while before it was answered.

"Speak. What is it?" The voice on the other end was impatient, showing no attempt to conceal their irritation. "Didn't I tell you not to contact me?"

"Victor might have found out that he's not my biological son," Grace's voice trembled. "Tell me, how is my daughter?"

The voice on the other end sneered. "So what if he knows? He's just an orphan that you raised. You even gave him a wife and family. Even if he finds out now, what can he do about it?"

"I'm asking you, what happened to my daughter?" Grace no longer could control her emotions. "Back then, you used my daughter to threaten me. If you hadn't taken her away, I would never have done all of this!"
