The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 559

Selena nodded in understanding. "Let's go inside."

"Let's go."

Just like that, the group entered the hospital. Charlene was immediately escorted to the director's office by the bodyguards.

Once inside, Selena saw someone she didn't expect to see.

Marcus was sitting on the couch, while Natalie was seated in the hospital director's chair. Clearly, the two had been waiting for quite some time now.

"Mr. Holden, Ms. Walker." Kenton quickly stepped forward with respect. "Someone, serve them coffee."

"There's no need," Natalie replied calmly and clapped her hands. As if on cue, Julie stepped out from the inner room.

"Julie…" Kenton's eyes turned red the moment he saw her. "How are you? Are you okay?"

Julie took a step back, dodging the hand Kenton had extended to grab hers with. "I've already handed everything you gave me to Ms. Walker and Mr. Holden.

"Kenton, let's get divorced."

"Alright." Kenton nodded. "I agree."

Julie hadn't expected him to agree so quickly. All the words she had prepared suddenly became unnecessary.

"Julie, I've wronged you all these years." Kenton covered his eyes. His voice was hoarse and grating, but at last, he no longer had to hide in the shadows.

"Don't say anything more." Julie cut him off and handed him the divorce papers. "Just sign this."

Kenton didn't even glance at it. He signed his name right away, asking, "When are we officiating it?"

"Right now."

Kenton nodded. "Alright, let's go."

"Okay."

Their emotions remained calm throughout the exchange. After this simple exchange, the two politely asked Natalie and Marcus for permission, then left together.

Selena and her parents were a little stunned to witness this, but none of them dared to say a word.

Just Natalie and Marcus sitting there gave them a pressure so heavy they didn't even dare breathe too loudly. Back when they were raising Natalie, she didn't have this kind of commanding presence.

Natalie's gaze fell on Selena's face, then shifted to Victor's and Diana's. Before she could speak, Diana quickly pulled Selena behind her.

"Ms. Walker, it was my decision. I was the one who forced Selena and Victor to come back." Diana broke the silence first.

"But I swear, we haven't done anything bad. We came to this hospital because we finally found out who was truly behind all of this. Back then, we took our anger out on you. I blamed the wrong person. I was just unwilling to accept it, and that's why I forced these two to come see the real culprit."

Diana rushed to explain further. "Ms. Walker, we'll just take a look and leave right away. We won't break the promise we made back then."

Natalie curved her lips. "Why are you so anxious? Did I say anything?"

Diana froze. Selena stepped out from behind her at this moment, her eyes full of hope as she looked at Natalie.

Selena still couldn't quite believe it. "Ms. Walker, you really don't blame me?"

Natalie retorted, "Should I take it all back and say I hate you? That I wish you'd die? Would that make it easier for you to live?"

Selena quickly shook her head. "I'll study hard and pass the tests, I promise."

Natalie curled her lips slightly. "Then, that's settled. There's no need for all the extra drama. I only have one condition—Marcus and I aren't getting involved in your business. But don't dirty this hospital again."

Natalie stood up and looked over at Marcus, who hadn't spoken a single word the entire time. "Let's go."

Marcus got up and walked over to take her hand.

Once the two of them left Kenton's office, Selena and her parents still felt like they were in a dream.

This hospital—the very place where all three of their fates had been changed—was now in the hands of the Walker family and had been turned into a charitable hospital to help rescued girls.

Selena couldn't quite put her excitement into words. Her hands trembled as she held onto Diana's. "Mom, Dad, you should stay too."

"Of course," Diana agreed instantly. "Honey, let's stay and support our daughter. Consider it atonement for all the sins we committed in the past."

Victor nodded. Diana and Selena were staying, so how could he object?

"Alright. The three of us will stay, work here, and help those girls."

Victor reached out and held Diana's and Selena's hands. "Selena, don't hold onto the guilt anymore. Everyone makes mistakes. Your mom and I made plenty in the past, but we're willing to change. And Ms. Walker gave us that chance, didn't she?"
