Alaric’s expression remained cold. “He was lucky. The shot only hit his shoulder. What if it had been worse? Today, your son shoots mine in public–what’s stopping him from pulling the trigger again tomorrow? Victor, you and I are both fathers. It my son shot yours, would you just let it go?”
