"Come on in."
Brandon's deep voice wafted out from his office.
Kent pushed the door open and entered. "Mr. Crawley, we've hooked up with a new construction crew for the Zenithan-style resort project."
As he spoke, Kent handed over the project documents to Brandon.
Brandon took a glance at the papers. He was familiar with the construction team. They had worked with the Starlight Group several times before and were a solid bunch.
The team had just wrapped up a shopping mall project for the Starlight Group in Zion City a couple of days ago. Timing-wise, it did seem to fit the bill.
"No issues with the team," Brandon said, snapping the folder shut and handing it back to Kent. "Let's roll with this crew; they've just finished a gig for the Starlight Group in Zion City."
Kent nodded, "Sounds good."
"Do we stick to the original construction plan?" Kent asked. "Tomas mentioned that the geomancer picked an auspicious time for the groundbreaking - around 1 a.m. tomorrow night. Everything's all set, and Simon's on board with kicking off then."
Brandon's brows furrowed slightly. "1 a.m. tomorrow night?"
Then he looked up at Kent. "Why the heck do we need to start at midnight? Can't we work during the day?"
Kent replied, "It's mainly because the geomancer said it's an auspicious time."
"The groundbreaking ceremony already had its auspicious moment picked out. We can't be cherry-picking lucky days for every single building's construction," Brandon dismissed the idea straightaway. "We're not in a rush for those few hours. Let's start in the daytime."
"Alright then."
Kent acknowledged and said his goodbyes before stepping out. He then phoned Tomas to relay Brandon's decision.
Sophia also got the nod about the construction starting the morning after next, in the afternoon.
Augus came to fill her in.
The guy seemed pretty standard.
He didn't bring up the change of construction crew again, nor did he mention the switch in start time. He just reported the situation to Sophia quite by the book, and then checked when she would be heading over.
Because of the issues with the column casting, Sophia had promised Tomas during her last visit that she would be on-site to check things out on the day of the pour.
