Olive Steele looked at her daughter amusedly. She wanted to be close to her father, but he just pretended not to care.
Though the soft, little lips touched his face slightly, Alan Hoyle was pleased. He was fully aware of how his daughter thought.
"Okay, let’s go home." Olive said with a smile.
They got into the elevator where a young woman with a four-year-old child was in.
Olive smiled faintly as a greeting. She knew the woman was a neighbor, but they were pretty much strangers, because Olive had no time to spend with the people in the neighborhood, and she hated to gossip with them.
While Annie, who followed Olive’s parents everywhere in the community, knew many of their neighbors. She gave a sweet smile and greeted, "Auntie Wang."
The woman never moved her eyes away from Alan Hoyle after they entered the elevator, "Oh dear, Olive, is this your boyfriend? He’s really handsome!"
Rumor had it that the girl of the Steeles met a wealthy businessman who took her daughter as his own. Seeing the handsome appearance and the extraordinary temperament of Alan’s, Wang recognized him at once.
Alan Hoyle did not like this kind of words, but still, he nodded his head slightly and said, "Hi, I am Annie's father."
"Really?" The woman was surprised and curious, while in fact, the surprise was false and the curiosity was true.
Alan Hoyle said lightly, "Really."
This woman was truly shocked. She was opening her mouth, astonished, when Annie reminded her, "Auntie Wang, you arrived. Why don’t you go home?"
Hearing Annie, the woman realized her gaffe and got out of the elevator with her son in a hurry.
The same second when the elevator door closed, Annie made a V gesture, saying, "Good job, uncle weirdo!"
"Huh?" It was rare to be praised by his daughter, but he felt like being used by this kid. Alan Hoyle smiled and looked at his daughter, "You hate that Aunt?"
