The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2718

Nolan had no plans to take their relationship to the next level. No matter what reasons Dahlia had back then, he couldn't accept what she'd done.

"No, please! I don't want us to become strangers! We could have been the most loving couple, yet because of a moment's folly, you still can't forgive me. But deep down, you still love me, don't you? Who else could be this close to you, and who else could share such intimacy?"

Dahlia searched Nolan's eyes in a panic, desperate to confirm she was the only one for him.

Yet Nolan coldly removed her hands from his waist, one finger at a time.

"Dahlia, you indeed hold a special place for me, but life is long, and you're not the only one who can fill it. You know what? When Regina got close to me last time, I didn't feel weird."

Nolan's serious tone wiped the smile off Dahlia's face. "What are you saying? Are you telling me you're getting involved with her? Remember how she made a scene at my show? Have you forgotten that?"

Nolan shook his head. "Didn't you just say the interview today went well?"

Seeing Nolan so indifferent truly frightened Dahlia. She knew their relationship was hanging by a thread, and it was her fault she'd missed out on a perfect man.

The regret she'd felt during her years abroad was as swift as her decision to return. She'd come back with unspeakable intentions, hoping to catch Nolan off guard.

She too wanted to hasten back, to see if another woman had entered his life.
