The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2797

Nolan nodded, a firm look in his eyes. "Yep, let's move. Time to meet Domingo Skinner."

The drive was smooth, but as they pulled into the parking lot of the entertainment venue, Regina's heart started to pound with anxiety.

"Nervous?" Nolan asked, glancing over at her.

She nodded, biting her lip. "It's the first time I might come face-to-face with Domingo. How could I not be?"

"Don't worry about digging up too much dirt. It's just the two of us after all. Let's just scope the scene. If we get to see him, great. If not, we play it cool like we're just here for a good time. No pressure."

Regina took a deep breath. "I just want to see what kind of monster could do such terrible things."

Nolan felt a surge of protectiveness seeing Regina's resolve. "Let's go then."

As they approached the entrance, Nolan reached out and took Regina's hand. She looked up at him, a questioning look in her eyes.

"Sorry, Ms. Tanner, for dragging you into this," he whispered, careful not to draw attention.

Regina chuckled softly. "Who says I'm not the one getting the better deal here?"

His lips twitched into a genuine smile at her comeback; she always had a way of surprising him.

"Guess we're taking advantage of each other then," he joked.
