The Lawyer’s Romance in Law novel Chapter 211

Chapter 211 Test

Ping!

A notification sounded after that. Jack had shared Stephanie's location with Elias, and the latter chucked his phone to the front passenger seat after taking an inpatient gander.

Then, he turned the car around, preparing to look for Stephanie.

He genuinely didn't want to bother himself with such trivial matters. However, to regain the shares that were once his grandfather's, he had to suck it up.

Half an hour later, Elias arrived at a rundown rental house in a slum after following the location Jack gave.

He parked his Aston Martin nearby, attracting the attention of many people.

Seeing such a world-class luxury car in a place like this was unimaginable, and the dirty streets seemed to taint its noble temperament.

The people around even gave Elias strange looks when he stepped out of his car. They wondered why a mysterious big shot would appear in such a place, for he didn't fit in at all.

Whispers filled the air…

"I'll be a monkey's uncle if one of us knows a big shot like him. That car looks super expensive…"

"If I'm not mistaken, that car is worth about a billion. It's even a limited edition worldwide make. What's going on? What is a super rich doing in our slum?"

"Tell me about it. Do you think he has a crush on a girl here?"

"What age do you think we live in? How can you still believe in those fairy tales? Real princes won't fall for dirty wenches but real princesses."

Elias ignored the gossip and walked toward the dark alley.

As soon as he entered the narrow alley, a foul smell from the sewer hit him, and he instinctively covered his nose, frowning in displeasure.

It was the first time Elias, who had been privileged his whole life, had ever come to a place like this.

Following the house numbers one after another, he finally found number 343, which was where the slumdog lived according to Jack.

He had to hand it to Stephanie for being able to tolerate such living conditions; even he was beginning to believe this was true love.

The rusty door had no doorbell, so Elias knocked on it twice, but there was no response from the inside.

Who knew what was happening behind that door…

However, Elias refused to stay for even a second. He wanted to grab Stephanie and return her to her father quickly, for every second spent here was torture for him.

With that, he knocked on the door again, and this time, a man's voice came from inside. "Who is it?"

Elias didn't answer. Instead, he continued knocking on the door.

Then, he heard hurried footsteps from inside, and the door opened. It was a seemingly handsome young man dressed in a short-sleeved t-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops, looking very down-to-earth.
