Chapter 335 This Is Unbelievable
“What did you say? She’s gone?” Elias panicked in an instant. His intuition told him that something had gone wrong.
Edith also looked anxious as she stuttered, “I went to the lounge… and I looked around for a while but couldn’t find her. I even asked many staff members, but they all said they didn’t see her. What should we do? Did she run away?”
Tears immediately rolled down Edith’s cheeks. She didn’t even consider any other possibilities. She thought that Amanda escaped because she didn’t want to return to their family.
“How is that possible? She promised us! How could she go back on her word?” Jack also didn’t think of the worst as he assumed that Amanda had simply changed her mind.
Only Elias’ expression remained unwavering. “That’s not possible. Amanda wouldn’t go back on her decision. Something must have happened.”
After saying that, he stormed toward the entrance of the banquet hall without any hesitation.
The look on Crispin’s face promptly changed, and he exchanged a glance with Stephanie as he realized that things were not looking good. If Elias got involved, the man would surely find clues quickly.
Crispin had expected everyone to think that Amanda had fled at the last moment, but Elias didn’t believe it.
Jack and Edith quickly followed suit, leaving Crispin and Stephanie standing there, unsure of what to do.
“Where did you hide Amanda? Will Elias suspect us? You know that we’ll be in serious. trouble if he finds any evidence against us!”
Stephanie vividly remembered what Elias had said to her that day in the seaside villa. His words were etched in her mind.
“Keep your voice down!” Crispin warned in a lowered voice. “If someone overhears us…”
He then pulled Stephanie aside. “Don’t worry. He won’t find anything that will lead back to us. We need to quickly catch up and pretend we have no idea, or else he will suspect us.”
With that, he grabbed Stephanie’s hand and followed the trio.

Everyone arrived at the lounge and indeed, there was no sign of Amanda.
Elias furrowed his brows. Glancing at Yacob who was following behind him, he instructed, “Please get the manager. We need to check the surveillance.”
“Alright.”
Check the surveillance?!
Stephanie looked nervously at Crispin, who was beside her. They would see everything if they checked the surveillance.
But Crispin held her hand as if to reassure her.
Before long, Yacob and the manager, whose forehead was covered in sweat, arrived in the lounge together.
“You better talk to Mr. Winters yourself. What a sh*tty hotel!” Yacob spat impatiently as he stared at the manager.
Trembling, the manager stammered, “I’m so sorry, Mr. Winters. I’m truly sorry. We don’t know what happened either. The surveillance equipment is under maintenance today, and coincidentally, Miss Bailey walked into a blind spot right after leaving the lounge. We didn’t capture any footage of her leaving the hotel on the other surveillance cameras either.”
“So, she is still in the hotel?” Elias speculated, lost in thought.
The manager froze and waited for his instructions. “What should we do?” he asked.
“Search room by room, you idiot! We’re going to find her as long as she’s still in the hotel!” Elias shouted in anger.
Taken aback, the manager adjusted his glasses and replied, “Yes! Got it! I’ll have people start searching right away.”
He practically scrambled out of the lounge in a hurry.
Yacob caught the look in Elias’ eyes and turned around, leaving the lounge as well.
If this manager and his team were in charge of the search, it would probably take them the whole night. It would be faster for Yacob’s own group of men to join in on the search.
Edith couldn’t help but cry out, “What is going on? How did Amanda suddenly disappear? She hasn’t left the hotel, so where could she be? Has she been kidnapped?”
Jack only remained silent, his expression grim. He didn’t know what was happening either.

“Of course, she’s been kidnapped. There are only two types of people who would take her at a time like this, no?” Elias spoke, calmly analyzing the situation.
“What do you mean?” Jack couldn’t help but ask.
At that, Elias observed Stephanie’s expression and commented coldly, “The first type would be Amanda’s enemies, and the second type would be those who don’t want her to return to the Allegra Family.”
Stephanie was already nervous, to begin with, but having Elias stare at her while saying these words made her feel even more uneasy. It was as if the accusations were directed at her.
On the other hand, Crispin remained as steady as a rock, seemingly unaffected by Elias” suspicions.
Unable to bear it any longer, Stephanie snapped, “What are you trying to say? What are you insinuating by saying these things while staring at me? Am I the second type of person you mentioned? Elias Winters, you’ve gone too far!”
“Did I mention you? Why are you getting so worked up? Or is Amanda’s disappearance really related to you?” Elias replied.
“Bullsh*t! I’ve been with you all along. When would I have time to seek Amanda out? I haven’t seen her at all today!”
Stephanie’s heart pounded like it was about to leap out of her chest.
“That’s right, Elias. Stephanie has always been with us. She couldn’t have done it. Besides, it’s her sister whom she has relied on since childhood. It can’t be Stephanie. You must be mistaken.” Edith still remained biased toward her younger daughter. She couldn’t believe her little girl would do such a thing.
