The Lost Luna Princess novel Chapter 6

  Bensons POV

“Alright everyone I want you to pair off and not with the same person as yesterday, remember the stances you were shown and use them” I roared at the pack members that were scheduled to train today.

Our training sessions were split into different age groups making it easier for us to train everyone. Training started the morning after a pups sixteenth birthday as this is when the moon goddess blessed us with a wolf counterpart, we could tap into our wolves’ senses when we needed to increase our hearing, speed and strength. We would train in human form to begin with then learning to train in wolf form once we had mastered the moves and techniques. This way had proven to be the best and had been done ever since Jakes dad John was alpha.

Ranked members of the pack however were stronger than the other pack members. I myself am a beta and could beat the wolves training today with my eyes closed. As the pairs switched positions from attack to defence and vice versa Crystal arrived an hour late... again.

“CRYSTAL" I shouted in my beta voice causing her to freeze in her tracks.

"Would you mind enlightening us as too why you feel it’s ok to turn up when and as you, please?”

“I was in bed with my boyfriend having the time of my life” she answered back in her annoyingly squeaky voice.

“And who May that be Crystal because I’d sure like to remind them it’s NOT OK for you to miss mandatory training” I shouted at her.

As I turned my back on her and headed to the front of the room Jake entered to oversee how things were going. Jakes alpha aura made all of the members training stiffen as they could feel the power rolling off him.

    “Hey baby”

A shriek came from behind me but before I could turn to see who it came from Crystal appeared and threw herself at Jake.

“Desperate much, this ought to be good” my wolf Rocky chuckled as he watched the encounter.

Jake just looked at her with pure disgust grabbing her by the wrist and slamming her into the wall with such a force that I swear it had cracked. Had Crystal been human she would definitely have broken some bones.

“Let me say this clearly so that you can understand, listen carefully because I'm only going to say this once. I’M NOT YOUR F**KING BABY, your just some sl*t that was available when I needed to de-stress, you will show me some fucking respect”

“I’m not a sl*t!! The only person I want is you can’t you see that”

“well, I don’t want you so leave me the f*ck alone”. Jake shoved her back against the wall and stomped off.

“Well seems as if he’s in a mood again today good luck”. Rocky was a sarcastic wolf and one day I’m sure he would be the death of me.

    -  Jakes POV

After Crystal tried to put a claim on me, I lost it I didn’t want her or anyone putting a claim on me.

“What about when we find our mate? I won’t allow you to reject her we need her and so does this pack. We both have our roles. You know this we learned it during your alpha training”. Great now Hunters on my case.

“We don’t need a mate, you know Lunas are often targeted in order to weaken us. Don’t you remember what happened to the royal pack?”

“Of course, I remember all wolves felt the loss.”

“There you go then, losing his Luna made the alpha king weak and look what happened to him. The strongest wolf to exist and the loss helped destroy him. Now the royal pack is run by an ex-Beta who calls himself king with a bunch of good for nothing rogues taking titles of ranked members, and no one knows what happened to the Princess, she’s been missing for sixteen or something years if I remember rightly” I explained to my wolf.

Hunter finally went quiet which was good as now I had a f**king headache. I was about to go for a run to the waterfall, the only place that ever made me feel peaceful when there was a knock at my office door.
