Before Christian could reply, Merlin exclaimed excitedly, "Great! I finally found a clue! I’ll have someone check the airport's information and surveillance to see how Quinn was able to receive news in such a short time!"
Christian was startled. Slightly panicked, he urged, "Lammy, why don't we stop here? Let's not investigate any further."
Merlin was astonished. "Why? This is the only clue we have right now. I think my judgment must be correct. Keith's illness was too sudden, so Quinn couldn't possibly remove traces in time. But if she was given enough time, I bet the mastermind hiding behind would act strategically. We won't even be able to find this clue!"
He then asked, "Don't you want to know how Quinn received news of Lord Acker's illness?"
Christian said hurriedly, "Lammy, it doesn't matter. Whatever method she used to get the news, she doesn't pose any harm to us. She’s not an enemy, but a savior. If she didn't travel to get here to save Father, Father would've died."
Christian paused for a while before continuing, "Our family owes her a big favor. We haven't had a chance to repay her, and yet, we’re investigating her. This is unreasonable. If people find out, they'll think badly of the Acker family."
Merlin hesitated a little and then replied solemnly, "Christian, this investigation is not just for you. It's also important for the case. As I've said before, Quinn was able to survive Homer's trap and even had Homer shoot himself in the foot. There must be someone powerful around her. Maybe he's the one who did all this!"
Then, he added, "I haven’t been able to find any clues about Homer's case or Lord Fox's sudden return. I can't let go of this opportunity!"
