The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 200

I took a cab back home after eating. To my surprise, Abigail was already there.

This was unusual. Before, when she was upset with me, she went straight to Joshua for comfort. She wouldn't even come back and look at me.

But this time, she came back. I had no idea what she was planning to do next.

Just as I was about to change into my slippers and head to my room, Abigail called out to me. "Come here. Give me a shoulder massage."

I looked at her calmly and asked, "Did you get the wrong person? Isn't Joshua the best at massages?"

Maybe I had mentioned Joshua a little too much recently, as the look on Abigail's face went dark. She scoffed and glared at me. "Are you trying to piss me off on purpose?" she asked in a sarcastic tone.

I shook my head and calmly replied, "Abigail, don't misunderstand. I'm just stating the facts. After all, you've mentioned so many times that when you're tired, Joshua learned how to massage just for you."

Abigail's expression grew even darker.

I smiled. "Abigail, you don't have to try so hard to get my attention. After all, Joshua is always on your mind, isn't he? Even if he weren't, it wouldn't be me. So why bother? I think keeping up the appearance of a relationship works fine for us."

Abigail looked at me with anger in her eyes. If this had been before, I would've rushed to calm her down immediately. But now, I didn't.

I didn't even glance at her as I turned and walked into my room, shutting the door behind me. As for Abigail, she could think things through on her own.

Abigail had left the house early the following day.

Meanwhile, I went to work as usual.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of someone clicking their tongue behind me. I didn't need to turn around to know it was Joshua, that insufferable jerk. Every time he saw me, he acted like he was trying to call a dog. Little did he know, he was the biggest "lapdog" of all.
