The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 353

Abigail's confidence made me want to laugh bitterly. What made her think she could control me like this?

I shook off her hand and turned to leave, but Abigail immediately called over the driver and the butler. Together, they carried me back into the house.

"Abigail, let me go! Let me go!"

I struggled with all my might, but it was useless.

Abigail took my luggage from the car and walked into the house with a cold expression. Her eyes bore into me as she spoke in an icy tone, "Samuel, I told you that you're not allowed to leave me. Do you think my words are nothing but air?"

Tears blurred my vision as my stomach churned violently. I doubled over and vomited.

Seeing me in distress, Abigail rushed to my side, her anxiety palpable.

"Samuel, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? I'll call a doctor for you, okay?"

I pushed her away, gasping for air, and shook my head.

"I don't need your help."

Staggering, I made my way to the guest room and quickly locked the door behind me.

At this moment, I needed a space free of Abigail's suffocating presence to regain my composure. Otherwise, the despair and sense of suffocation would drive me to the brink of collapse.

I wasn't sure how long it was before I heard Abigail's door close. It seemed she had gone to sleep.

Taking a deep breath, I calmed myself down and tried to rest. But the entire night, I tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

It wasn't until the sky began to lighten that I finally managed to fall into a restless slumber.

When I woke up, the sound of Jane knocking on the door greeted my ears.
