The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 356

The cold wind around me kept blowing incessantly. I felt a deep chill seeping through my body, rendering me unable to utter a single word. It was as if my mouth had been sealed shut, leaving me with an overwhelming sense of despair.

Abigail abruptly started the car and drove forward with reckless gusts of wind slammed into the car, intensifying the biting cold.

The next second, Abigail slammed on the brakes. She turned to me with an icy gaze and asked in a stern voice, "Samuel, what exactly do you want?"

I glanced around blankly, my eyes catching the glaring sign at the entrance—Unity Care Medical Center. The bold, illuminated letters burned into my vision.

"We're already here?"

I reached out to open the car door, intending to get out, but Abigail grabbed my hand abruptly, stopping me in my tracks.

"Samuel, wait. I need to ask you something," she said firmly.

I looked at her calmly and responded in a flat tone, "Abigail, what do you need to ask?"

Calling her by her name instantly drained the color from her face, leaving her expression icy cold.

Hesitating slightly, she finally looked at me and said cautiously, "Samuel, I'm your wife."

"Yes," I replied with a slight nod, my tone indifferent. "If you have something to say, just say it."

Abigail frowned faintly, her eyes sharp as she said, "Don't throw a tantrum, Samuel. I hate it when you do this."

"Alright," I said, nodding again. A faint smile touched my lips as I replied in a calm voice, "Understood."

After a brief moment of silence, Abigail hesitated for a few seconds before opening the car door and stepping out. She grabbed my hand, striding swiftly into the hospital to arrange for a doctor to examine me.

The doctor had a grave expression on his face as he said in a serious tone, "You're very sick. We need to conduct a thorough examination to determine the exact condition of your illness."
