The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 361

I could see a flicker of panic dart through Abigail's eyes as she looked at me, her composure wavering slightly. It was clear she wanted to say something, but she didn't know how to put it into words.

I chuckled softly and spoke in an even tone, "Stop lying to yourself, Abigail. To you, I've always been nothing more than a dog—called upon at your convenience and tossed just as easily. Isn't that right? In the past, I stayed by your side and endured all of this because I loved you.

"But you never truly saw me. You've only ever used my mistakes as a weapon to punish both me and yourself.

"You humiliated me without restraint, mocking me in front of everyone. It's drained me completely. I can't bear to live like this anymore. If this is all there is, I'd rather end it here and now."

As I finished speaking, it felt as though every ounce of strength had drained from my body, leaving me hollow and defeated.

It was as if my heart had been crushed and trampled, the pain so consuming that even breathing felt suffocating, each breath laced with despair.

Abigail's face darkened as she stared at me. Her voice was cold and stern as she asked, "Samuel, are you being completely honest with me right now?"

I summoned the last bit of strength I had and nodded. "I've never been more honest. I've truly had enough."

Abigail remained silent for a long while before responding gravely, "If you divorce me, I'll pull all investments from the hospital and the children there.

"I'll also stop funding the children's treatment. After all, the only reason I agreed to any of it was because of you. Without you, why would I waste my efforts on such a thankless endeavor?"
