Ethan was the kind of person who spoke his mind. If he felt annoyed, the words would roll off his tongue without hesitation.
But Joshua didn't take it well. His face immediately darkened, and he glared at Ethan, furrowing his brows as he angrily questioned, "What nonsense are you spouting now?"
In response to Joshua's questioning, Ethan suddenly started laughing.
He clapped his hands in mock applause and gave Joshua a mocking once-over, shaking his head with displeasure. "What? Didn't I make myself clear enough? Or are you not human? Can't understand plain speech?"
His sarcastic and cutting words lingered in the air, stinging like sharp blades.
Joshua was instantly furious. He jabbed his finger at Ethan and exploded, "You trash! How dare you talk to me like that? Tell me your name, and we'll see if I can have you fired!"
Joshua's temper flared as he jabbed his finger at Ethan, acting like a king who could decide anyone's fate.
Ethan smirked and clapped his hands mockingly, his laughter growing louder.
"Oh, you want to fire me? Go ahead, no problem. If you've got the guts, go straight to the boss right now. Let's see if he'll let you run around making decisions for the company on his behalf!"
Ethan's mocking words struck a nerve.
Even though Joshua was furious, he still had to rationally consider the issue. After all, the company didn't belong to Abigail or Joshua, and they had no real authority to make decisions.
If it came to light that Hanson found out Joshua was the one stirring up trouble and trying to get Ethan fired, it was likely that Hanson would not side with Joshua either.
Despite his simmering rage, Joshua grudgingly backed down.
"Alright, you punk. Fine!"
