The onlookers stared at us, unscrupulously watching the drama unfold. They were analyzing the relationship between me, Sophia, and Michael.
Sophia's expression visibly darkened.
Her face turned pale with rage. She gritted her teeth and glared at Michael. She seemed like she wanted to say something but couldn't find the right words.
After a long pause, she finally whispered to me, "Samuel, let's just leave. We can go somewhere else to eat. We don't need to stay here."
Before I could respond, Michael suddenly let out a mocking laugh. He clapped his hands with exaggerated satisfaction, his eyes locked on me. "Oh? What's this? Now that I've exposed you, you're feeling too pathetic to stick around and want to run away?"
He deliberately raised his voice, instantly drawing curious glances from those around us.
With a condescending grin, Michael continued, "Samuel, what are you even pretending for? You're nothing but a useless piece of trash. Yet here you are, trying to act all high and mighty in front of me, stealing my woman. Who do you think you are? Do you really think you have the right to do so?"
Halfway through his words, Michael's expression shifted to one of arrogance. He turned to Sophia, smiling smugly as he said, "Sophia, are you really going to spend the rest of your life with someone like him? He's nothing but a complete fraud!"
Sophia's face was ashen with anger, but she didn't know how to respond. All she could do was coldly snap at him, "Shut up! You don't have any right to interfere in my life!"
But Michael only laughed in mockery. He pointed at me and sneered. "Sophia, he's already married. He has a family. And he's just a good-for-nothing, living off his wife! Do you really think you have any future with him?"
With that, Michael stood up and walked over to Sophia's side, speaking to her as if giving heartfelt advice.
