The Masterpiece of Leaving:Prepared A Perfect Stand-In For Him novel Chapter 130

Cathy intentionally acted as if she could not see what Aubrey was thinking, and still smiled. "So she was not in a relationship with the owner of Starlight Media. Instead, she was in a relationship with William."

"Haha, oh William. He used to be a cassanova. Now that he is with Miss Armstrong, there is no extra woman by his side. It seems that he is sincere to her."

"Now that Navier and William are together, I won't worry so much anymore. Otherwise, you guys divorced because of me, but she hasn't found a good partner yet. I'm still a little sorry about that."

"Ah, Aubrey, you don't have to worry about her life anymore. In the future, you can stay with me at ease."

Aubrey did not respond, but his body became colder and frigid.

Cathy saw his tiny movements. She looked innocent on the surface, but she was cheering for victory in her heart.

Aubrey would find out sooner or later that there was no relationship between Navier and the owner of Starlight Media.

Now, that Aubrey seemed to be more and more interested in Navier, she simply paired her with William, to completely block Aubrey's thoughts.

After eating, William and Navier chatted for a while about Arthur's ancient shoemaking.

"We plan to still use the original technology for production. In the sales process, I hope you can endorse us." William said.

The craftsmanship of shoemaking was passed down to Arthur by his father, so Navier hoped that William could carry it forward it. She readily agreed, "Don't worry. Not only will I give my all to help, but I will also let others push along."

"Thank you, then." William looked at Navier with warm eyes.

The two of them chatted for a while. It was nearly four o'clock when they left.

It was time to pick up Iris.

William insisted on sending Navier over. Navier thought that her car was parked far away and the business with William was not yet finished, so she nodded in agreement.

Arriving at the Starlight Media building, Iris jumped out at the entrance.

When she saw William, her big bright eyes suddenly widened, and her lively expression disappeared. She looked at him with a little wariness.

Iris knew that William was Aubrey's friend.

She was afraid of Aubrey, so she became even more wary of his friends.

"Hello." William walked over and took the initiative to greet her.

His smile was warm and genial.

"Hello, Uncle William," Iris said softly, then quickly ran in front of Navier and hugged her leg.

"Does Iris want to play at the playground?" William asked.

Iris blinked.

The last time Navier and Fredrica took her to the playground, the little planes and trains in there were very fun. To this day, she still remembered it clearly.

"Yes." She nodded.

William squatted in front of her. "Then, will you take me there?"

Iris looked at William and then at Navier.

Little children could not resist the temptation of going to the playground, so she nodded, "Okay."

"Not good," Navier raised an objection. "Your Uncle William's time is precious."

"I'm not as busy as you think." William reached out and hugged Iris, and pinched her nose lightly.

Iris hummed and giggled.

Seeing Iris's longing look, Navier did not say anything else and followed the two of them to the playground.

William held Iris in his arms and took her to ride a wooden horse and a pirate ship. There were some projects that she had not dared to ride before and William also took her there to play.

William's embrace was so warm. She found that she was not afraid of those projects at all.

She became much more courageous.

Iris was in William's embrace, giggling non-stop.

Seeing her daughter so happy, Navier could not help but smile.

William inadvertently raised his head and caught the smile on the corner of Navier's lips.

Although her smile was shallow, it was very gentle, like a mountain of cherry blossoms in bloom.

So pale, yet so charming.

The three of them played until it was dark before leaving the playground.

After a few hours of getting along, Iris had completely fallen in love with William. When she walked out, she took the initiative to hold William's hand.
