The Medallion novel Chapter 1540

Upon seeing that, Rocky immediately flew up and entered the tree house. Then, he directly went into the room which was filled with corpses. Under the pile of bones, he noticed that a golden light was constantly shining, so he gathered his spiritual power to remove all of the bones to find out what the source of the light was. Soon enough, he saw an ancient golden scroll with the words "Army-blessing Scroll" written on it.

As he picked up the scroll, the residual page of the scroll that he was carrying instantly turned into a ray of golden light and merged into the entirety of the scroll. The ensuing moment, something unexpected suddenly happened. The whole scroll turned into streaks of golden light that wildly flowed into Rocky's body.

"What's going on?" Rocky was actually shocked and caught off guard because no one told him that something like that would happen.

Then, the golden light that penetrated his body overflowed and turned into lines of poems that flashed around him.

"A Song of Everlasting Sorrow... The River All Red... Dance of the Cavalry..." When he carefully read some of the lines, Rocky was utterly perplexed. He was sure that those lines actually came from the modern world that he was originally from.

'What does this mean? Is the creator of the Army-blessing Scroll also from the modern world?' Rocky couldn't help but speculate because it was the only possibility that he could think of right now. However, he was more concerned about the fact that the Army-blessing Scroll suddenly merged with him. He thought that it might have something to do with his and the creator's backgrounds. However, it was just one of the possibilities and there were still other ones.

Right now, Rocky was at a loss on how he should explain what happened to Eunice.

Eventually, the poems that twinkled around him dissipated. At the same time, a vivid vision suddenly flashed before him. In an instant, he was sent to a pyramid-like palace. There were three floors in total and he could see several words that were shining with golden light, floating on each floor.

For a while, Rocky carefully observed the poems and realized that they were arranged according to the time they were created—from modern times to ancient times. Moreover, they were specifically classified. Some of them were designed to increase marching speed, while some could increase combat effectiveness. Some could increase defense, while some could motivate the morale of an army, and even some could generate illusions. Overall, they were all significant in terms of battles.

"Now, I understand what Eunice said before. If someone with superior talent in commanding soldiers gets a hold of the Army-blessing Scroll, it will become a very helpful and powerful tool to him." That was when Rocky realized what the main function of the Army-blessing Scroll was.

For ordinary spirit warriors, the scroll would not really give them an advantage because it was primarily intended to boost a group's morale. If there was something that utilized morale the most, it was the army.

Rocky actually planned to go through all the floors of the palace, but soon he found out that there was something that hindered him from reaching the higher floors. He suspected that he was not yet capable in some aspects so he had to give up.

Therefore, when he decided to leave, he just closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he had already returned to the eerie room where he was earlier.

"Tch. This is a huge problem. I still don't know how I am going to explain this to Eunice!" Rocky shook his head as he let out a bitter smile. Immediately after, he exited the house and flew down to where Eunice and Carla were waiting for him.

"So, did you find it?" Eunice asked expectantly.

"Yes... But there's quite a problem," Rocky said hesitantly.

"Why? What happened?" Eunice couldn't help but glare at him because he was making her really nervous.

"I'm not sure what caused it, but the Army-blessing Scroll has fused into my body..." Rocky decided to answer honestly. Besides, no matter what he said, he could not change the fact that he would not be able to give the scroll physically.

"How the hell did that happen? You fused with the Army-blessing Scroll?" Eunice's eyes widened in disbelief as soon as she heard what Rocky said.

"Yes, that's true! I didn't mean it to happen. I actually don't know how it happened either," Rocky immediately explained.

"That's impossible! How could it be you? You are the person chosen by God that the Di Clan has been looking for the past hundreds of years?" It turned out that there was a greater reason for Eunice's shock than knowing that the scroll actually fused with Rocky.
