"What do you mean? I don't get it," Rocky said while looking at Gloria innocently like a child.
"Have you reached the medium grade of the Emperor Realm already?" Gloria demanded. She seemed to have seen through his facade and noticed something.
"What makes you say that?" he asked her in return. Truth be told, he didn't expect her to figure out that he had hidden his true strength. However, her guess wasn't entirely correct.
"Among the Spiritual Emperors who were sent to spy on you tonight, at least three of them were at the medium grade. With the strength you displayed publicly, you wouldn't have easily dealt with them unless they were intimidated by your real strength. Moreover, your extraordinary performance during the Spiritual Emperor Contest suggested that your strength should have leveled up to the medium grade long ago..." This proved that Gloria was exceptionally smart to have come up with such speculation.
"It seems I can't hide it from you. It's true. My strength has reached the medium grade," Rocky confirmed and nodded discreetly.
"You're horrible. You know that Valeria and I were so worried about you!" Gloria pouted as she shot Rocky a disapproving look. However, Rocky being a medium grade Spiritual Emperor was actually beneficial for her.
"I didn't realize you were worried about me." Rocky shrugged.
"Humph. I know you're secretly rejoicing at the fact that two beautiful ladies care about you. No man has ever been able to make both me and Valeria worry about him so much before you." Gloria shot him a stern glare.
"Well, if there's nothing else for us to talk about, I'll leave now," Rocky mentioned. He had no intention of continuing this conversation with her because of her exceptional intelligence. He was afraid that the more he talked, the more skeptical she would be about his true strength.
"There's a nice, cozy room for you to stay in and yet you insist on staying outside? Are you making an excuse to leave and go on a date with that woman from the Di Clan?" Gloria asked, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"Whatever you say!" Rocky turned around, pulled the door open, and left without any further explanation.
Seeing Rocky leave with no hesitation, Gloria felt even more alone. She had no idea how she would be able to capture his heart and make him fall for her now.
Meanwhile, the Spiritual Emperors who were ordered to spy on Rocky returned to report their findings. The faces of all the Godly Geniuses, including Israel's, fell upon hearing that the apprentice pharmacist who stayed with Rocky wasn't a pharmacist at all. The apprentice pharmacist was actually a powerful Spiritual Emperor who even killed a low grade Spiritual Emperor with a single strike. They had no intention of just sitting back and waiting. Now that they had alerted their opponents, they were all planning on how to eliminate Rocky.
On the morning of the next day, all the candidates who passed the second test the previous day gathered again in the square of the Boundless Manor.
Today, only Colton appeared before them. Crosby and Enrique had gone back to their own sects to deal with other affairs.
"Everyone, please prepare yourselves before following me to the Heavenly Library," Colton informed them.
"The third test is to be held in the Heavenly Library!" Rocky heard Eunice exclaim beside him suddenly upon hearing the announcement.
He and Carla immediately looked to her.
"What kind of a place is the Heavenly Library?" Carla asked curiously.
"The Heavenly Library is a place built by our ancestors blessed with mysterious skills to conduct secret cultivations. What makes it special is that any warrior who possesses a strength equal to or above the Emperor Realm is given the chance to learn a random unique skill as long as they proved that they were skilled enough. The catch is that each warrior only has one chance. The Heavenly Library is usually used to assess the Spiritual Emperor's potential," Eunice explained to the duo.
