“Sure.” Finley nodded, completely ignoring Emily, and went to the dining table with Samantha.

Emily stared at Finley in disbelief. She couldn’t believe that her pitiful crying hadn’t earned any attention from him. 

Don’t all guys ask about the situation when they see a woman crying? Why isn’t that the case with Mr. Dean?! Not only did he not ask why I was crying after hearing my words, but he even ignored me and went to eat with Samantha! Did he not hear the part where I said Samantha doesn’t want to publicly acknowledge their relationship and not give him a proper status?

Samantha looked at the pitiful Emily with undisguised disgust and wondered how Emily had become so different from her previous life. The other Emily was a gentle and kind girl, but this one had turned into a pretentious and annoying girl. It was quite repulsive. 

Samantha clicked her tongue and said, “I’m not deaf, so I heard everything you said.” 

“In that case, have you forgiven me, Sam?” 

“About that,” Samantha replied coldly. “I think it’s better for me to decide tomorrow. After all, I don’t know what will be said at the academy forum tomorrow. So, I’ll wait until I’ve seen the forum and hear your explanation to the other students tomorrow before I decide if I will forgive you.” 

Samantha’s words left Emily feeling utterly miserable. She was incredibly curious as to what Finley saw in Samantha when she could behave so unreasonably, even in his presence. 

“Sam, I really realized my mistake. I didn’t do it on purpose. Can you please forgive me?” Samantha retorted sarcastically, “You’ve made many mistakes. Do you expect me to forgive you for every single one? Emily, I don’t want to waste my breath on you, and you better get
