“And that includes the Wallace Corporation.” Sensing Finley’s concern, Samantha quickly added, “Even though I’ve reclaimed the company, Finley, if you want it, I can transfer it to you anytime. After all, what’s mine is yours.”
Finley shook his head slightly. When have I ever said I wanted her company?
Before, he had indeed wanted it, but that was because he sought revenge against Amy and the rest of the Wallace Family. But now that the company was in his wife’s hands, there was no way he would take it from her.
Finley gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. “Now that the Wallace Corporation belongs to you, I won’t take it. But if it were in Dale’s hands, I’d have no choice but to force a takeover.”
Samantha couldn’t help but smile. I can’t believe he’s being so good to me.
“I love you the most, Finley.”
Samantha planted a soft kiss on Finley’s lips before continuing, “Once I get Wallace Corporation back, I’m planning to open a talent agency. But instead of signing new faces, I’ll be focusing on actors who’ve been wronged–those who used to be A–list or even award- winning stars but lost everything due to scandals or false accusations.”
Then, she added, “As for why I was at the hotel today, it was because I’ve got my eye on a fallen movie star named Sylvan Porter. I wanted to sign him, so I went to meet him, but he doesn’t trust me. My plan is to clear his name first and then approach him again to sign a deal. I’m not sure if you’ve been following Sylvan’s story, but about a year ago, on the same night he won Best Actor, rumors about his messy personal life surfaced. From that moment on, his career was ruined. With no roles coming his way, he’s been working at a hotel to make ends meet. I watched the video of him that leaked–it was so grainy and unclear. It looked like him, but there’s no solid proof it was him. So, I’m planning to have Mr. Cyan’s makeup done tomorrow to look just like Sylvan, and I’ll reshoot the video. Once it’s online, I’m hoping it’ll spark enough doubt to clear his name. At the same time, it’ll show him what I can do and hopefully gain his trust because I really do want to help him.”
Finley listened carefully, a hint of confusion crossing his face.
“How did you know Sylvan was at that hotel?”
How could I possibly tell him it’s because I know from my past life? Of course not!
what?
She replied, “I did some digging online. The rumors mentioned that someone had spotted Sylvan at that specific hotel, so I thought I’d take a chance and check it out. And He was actually there. Isn’t that wild?”
