Hazel noticed Emily’s hesitation. With a determined look, she took out a diamond necklace from a drawer and placed it around Emily’s neck. “This necklace suits you perfectly.”
As Emily looked at herself in the mirror, a glimmer of greed flickered in her eyes. The necklace was stunning. “Hazel, this necklace looks incredibly expensive. How much is it?”
“Over ten million,” Hazel said, emphasizing the price.
At that moment, Hazel wanted to emphasize just how pricey it was. After all, Emily seemed like a country bumpkin who hadn’t seen much of the world. She hoped that by sparking Emily’s interest, she could persuade her to assist with her plan.
As expected, Emily’s eyes widened in surprise. “This necklace is so expensive. I can’t possibly wear it!”
As she spoke, she started to remove the necklace from her neck and return it to Hazel. But Hazel quickly grabbed her hand. “Emily, even though this necklace is pricey, if you like it, I can give it to you for free.”

Emily frowned, hesitating. “But if Finley finds out, my brother might lose his trust in him.”
Trust? What’s that worth?
Money is the name of the game. Besides, she had already told Emily several times that as long as she got the actual bidding price, their company wouldn’t bid according to that figure. If they did, Finley would immediately realize the price came from someone close to him.
At that point, he would refuse to work with their company, so Hazel wasn’t foolish enough to let that happen. Emily didn’t need to worry about her betraying her.
Moreover, anyone aiming for big things shouldn’t be as timid as Emily. Otherwise, she would end up spending her life as a parasite in Finley’s home, never achieving anything else.
Frustrated by Emily’s reluctance, Hazel took a deep breath and looked at her. “Emily, I promise you, as long as you help me find out the bidding price from Finley’s company, I
