Chapter 260 Where Did She Go?
"Where did she go?"
Edward's voice held a note of concern as he explained, "Mrs. Dean mentioned something about selling an item, but I didn't catch the details. All I know is she asked me to bring Emily back and then left. I thought she'd send a message or give you a call since she didn't use my car to return. But it seems she hasn't done either."
Upon hearing Edward's words, Elias stepped closer to Finley, his expression hardened as he delivered another blow. "Finley, what do you think it means when Samantha suddenly stopped reaching out to you?"
Before Finley could respond, Elias continued, "It means she no longer wants to be with you. She's planning to leave."
Finley's face remained a mask of stoicism, his emotions tightly controlled. "She's mine now."
Elias chuckled with a hint of mockery. "Finley, hear yourself. What century do you think this is? Are you still claiming Samantha is your woman? So what if she is? Even if you've been with her a hundred times, if she no longer desires to stay with you, she can walk away without a second thought.
"After all, even if she's no longer a virgin, if she's beautiful and has a good personality, she'll have no shortage of admirers."
Finley's eyes narrowed with fury. Tonight, Elias seemed particularly determined to undermine his feelings for Samantha. Every word Elias spoke seemed designed to provoke him. Grasping Elias by the collar, Finley pulled him close. "Elias, has Samantha offended you in some way these past few days?"
Elias shook his head. "No."
"Then, why does it seem like everything you've said tonight is aimed at her?"
