Choosing to take a day off from college, she selected a stylish outfit, tied her hair up in a high ponytail, snatched her bag, and shared a nice breakfast with Finley before they set off for Wallace Corporation.
Just as they were getting ready to head out, Emily rushed to Finley’s car and hopped in. “Morning, Mr. Dean!” she said with a big smile.
Finley’s expression darkened, and he demanded, “Get out.”
Emily looked surprised. “But… Mr. Dean, I’m going to school, too.”
Samantha interjected, “I’m not going to school today. If you need a ride, have the driver take you. Now, please get out.” D
Emily felt hurt by their chilly response and sighed as she climbed out.
I thought Mr. Dean would take me today, but he’s not. Why isn’t Samantha going? They’ve already hung out for two days how much more do they need? Does she really want a third day with him? Can’t she see some boundaries? Is it enjoyable for her to always hang around Mr. Dean? she wondered as Finley’s car drove off.
The driver walked up to her. “Please get in, Miss Leventhorpe. I’ll take you to school.”
“Sure.” Emily got into the car and left the Dean Residence.

Meanwhile, a group of thugs with brightly dyed hair were hanging out by the roadside, keeping an eye out for Samantha.
One turned to the boss and asked, “Boss, the person who hired us sent a picture of a car and told us to block it and deal with the girl inside. What if we get it wrong?”
The boss shrugged. “The plate number is clear. Just grab any girl in that car.”
Another thug chimed in, “What if there are two girls? Which one do we go for?”
The boss frowned. “Seriously? What a dumb question! We take both!”
Another thug hesitated. “Boss, we only got paid for one. If we kill two girls, won’t we lose out?”
The boss shot him a glare and snapped, “You really ask the dumbest questions. Haven’t you known that I didn’t finish school? Just do the job, and we’ll sort out the details later.”
The thug nodded. “Okay, whatever you say, boss.”
Once the silence hung for a bit, the thug added, “Boss, we’re called the ‘No Mercy Crew‘ in games, but we’ve never actually done this for real. Are you ready for today?”
