The boss rolled his eyes. “Whatever, you’ll just have to earn it in your next life. Now, focus on the target. When the car shows up, block it. I’ll jump out, open the door, grab the girl inside, finish the job, and we’ll be done.”
When he finished speaking, the thug jumped up and waved at Emily’s car. However, it sped off with a quick whoosh.
“Boss, the target just took off!” the thug exclaimed.
The boss was almost pulling his hair out. “What are you waiting for? Chase after them! We won’t see a cent if we don’t get this done!”
With that, the thug took off running.
The boss yelled after him, “Fool! I meant to drive after them!”

The boss was left fuming. He thought, What kind of fool did I hire? This is a mess. This guy might as well just bury‘ himself!

Later, Dale settled into the meeting room at Wallace Corporation as the shareholders trickled in. He started pleading with them, “Mr. Donovan, I really hope you can back me up when Samantha shows up. It’d be great if she realized how hard this is and decided to step back.
“Mr. Dotson, once Samantha takes charge, you and the others need to push for a vote on a new CEO. We can’t let that clueless girl run Wallace Corporation.
“Ms. Clark, remember what we discussed? If you vote for me, I’ll keep running things here, and I’ll make sure to keep you in mind when dividends come around.
“Mr. Garner…”
Acting desperate, Dale implored the shareholders for their support. Since he had done them favors in the past, they all agreed in a nod.
All the shareholders had arrived by 10 a.m., but Samantha was a no–show. Tension was rising among them.
“She called us all here, and now she’s a no–show?”
“What’s up with her? Can’t she manage to be on time?”
