Noticing how frightened Emily was, Samantha felt an overwhelming sense of annoyance but ultimately chose not to abandon her. “Since you’re insisting on coming, we’ll go together. But let me warn you, Emily -if you speak out of turn, there will be consequences.” 

Emily gave her an innocent grin and reassured her, “Don’t worry, Sam. I swear I won’t say a word. I’ll stay silent and just keep myself out of the way behind you and Luke.” 

“Alright.” Samantha then pulled out her phone and started looking up Leon’s address. After a lengthy search, she eventually spotted him in the shabbiest house. The stylish attires of Samantha and her companions immediately caught the eyes of the slum dwellers, who couldn’t resist staring at them. 

As Samantha headed toward Leon’s place, the onlookers watched with curiosity, their gazes following her every move. 

She saw Leon crouched down, busy with his medicine preparations. Signaling for Luke and Emily to stay put, she went over to him alone. Upon seeing her approach, Leon quickly turned his head away, avoiding 

eye contact. 

“W–Who are you here for?” he stuttered. 

Why does he seem so recognizable? The more he tried to evade her, the closer she leaned in, studying him. His face was covered in dirt, completely masking what used to be a handsome appearance. Dressed in tattered, beggar–like clothes, he kept avoiding her gaze, constantly shifting his eyes elsewhere. 

She was speechless. Do really look that intimidating? Why won’t he lock eyes with me? Seizing his arm, she exclaimed, “Leon?” 

He adamantly denied it. 

“No, 

that’s not me! You’ve mistaken me for someone else!” 

She insisted, “Even with your smudged face, I know you right away. You’re Leon, aren’t you?” 

He kept shaking his head fervently. “No, no! You’re really confusing me with someone else. I’m not Leon. I 

swear…” 

Seeing him so visibly upset, Samantha found herself at a loss for words. After a moment, she spoke earnestly, “Leon, I am the CEO of Dream Maker, and I came to discuss a potential contract with you today. This is my business card. If you are unsure about it, feel free to visit my company to confirm. First, though, let me introduce myself properly. I’m Samantha Wallace–it’s a pleasure to meet you.
