Chapter 207 Interrogation 

Nathaniel never would have expected himself to fall in love with a woman one day. He felt the tightness around his chest and was getting restless. So he lit a cigarette and took a big puff. All of a sudden, he was short of breath, while a sharp pain shot through him from his chest. The cigarette slipped away from his fingers, dropping on the shag carpet and leaving a trace of an ugly burn. His forehead was sweating, and he almost did not catch his breath. 

Suddenly, someone came knocking cautiously on the door and said, “Mr. Nathaniel!” 

He knew that Ozzy had arrived. How dare this scrumbag keep Freya’s secret away from me for so long? Dammit! He painfully ignored the random heartache and stood straight, stepping on the cigarette to extinguish it, as he said, “Come in!” 

Ozzy pushed the door open softly and entered the study. He glanced over at Nathaniel, who was standing there. His back was facing the door while he stood in front of the window. Ozzy could smell a burnt smell in the air, but had no idea what had burned. 

“Mr. Nathaniel?” Ozzy asked nervously as he had no idea what to anticipate. 

Freya was begging him nonstop back then, she seemed to be pitiful. He knew that Nathaniel would find out sooner or later about the scar, even though he promised her to keep it a secret. However, Ozzy felt that it was weird. The two of them have been together for quite some time; why does he only find out about Freya’s scar now? However, Ozzy knew that this was not the time for him to be curious as he stood attentively in silence. 

Nathaniel had his back turned toward Ozzy. This only made him nervous as he dared not speak before Nathaniel said anything. He knew he was professional as a doctor, but he felt that he somewhat betrayed his boss. After a brief moment, Nathaniel asked in a hoarse voice, “You saw the scar on Ms. Freya’s abdomen, didn’t you?” 

Ozzy frowned as he felt guilty listening to his hoarse voice, but he felt that Mr. Nathaniel sounded menacing. “Yes!” He answered without hesitation because he felt that he would be dead either way. 

After another long pause, Nathaniel took a deep breath and stuttered, “She… was the… the baby…. 

Ozzy wore a complex expression on his face. “Mr. Nathaniel, I did the body checkup on Ms. Freya back then; it’s true that her scar was a result of a c–section,” he said while gazing at Nathaniel’s back. 

“Judging from the muscle around the scar tissue, it could be seen that it’s not a new scar. If I guessed correctly, the scar was formed roughly three years ago.” 

“Three years…” Nathaniel’s body shivered when he said that. Deep down in his heart, he knew. that the baby belonged to him. 

He had no intention for Freya to give birth to his child because he would never have a child with
