Chapter 214 Graveyard 

He fed the peeled apple to Freya and said, “Eat it!” 

Freya frowned, not knowing why the sudden change in his attitude. It was too good to be true. 

She moved away from the apple and looked into his eyes as she asked, “Did you go to the women’s prison?” 

His hand froze in mid–air, holding the apple. 

She emphasized each word as she asked, “Did you find the baby?” 

The apple fell onto the ground, as his calm facade faded away.. 

The tension between them had reached a boiling point as she could only stare emotionlessly at this heartbroken man. She did not know why, but she would not feel sorry for him anymore. She knew that he was an orphan and would feel tired sometimes. People might not notice his depression, but she was always there for him, comforting and supporting him in the past. The past three years were hellish; she lost every bit of her love for him. So, she asked him. again, “Nathaniel Morgan, did you find the baby?” 

Nathaniel’s face was turning pale, and he was frustrated. He put the apple on the plate on the bedside table, and tried to calm himself down from lashing out. He looked up at the white. hospital ceiling and took a deep breath before speaking in a hoarse voice, “Freya, do you really not love me anymore?” 

She did not expect him to ask that question. The two of them had been through way too much to have love in their twisted relationship. She smiled bitterly, trying to hide her emotions. “Of course I do. How could I not love you?” 

He was so shocked by her answer that he was so speechless that he chuckled. He turned around to grab Freya’s hand and looked into her eyes as he said, “Freya, can you not be like this? I feel really awful.” 

It sounded like he was begging for mercy with his words, which made her feel unfamiliar. Nathaniel squeezed her hands before letting go as he said, “I already asked Koen to bury him at the Morgan family grave.”

Freya clenched her fist as her face darkened. My poor baby can’t even escape Nathaniel’s control after death. Why did he have the audacity to move my baby? Nathaniel has the least right to do something like
