They went to the first–floor wardrobe to get ready. Nathaniel put on a tie, whereas Freya wore a formal skirt. Koen called the person in charge of the luxurious shops in the market to open the shops early in the morning. He bought a lot of clothing based on the size given by Nathaniel. Nathaniel even listed out specific clothing sizes for several brands and sent them to Koen, requesting that he buy everything in a different color per set. 

Freya was shocked when she saw the wardrobe full of new clothes. Nathaniel even took the initiative to put them in the closet. They were no longer after each other’s necks like they were in Newport Villa. They had started to be fond of each other. It seemed like they were newlyweds only if Nathaniel and Abigail’s marriage was still on. 

Freya walked to the entrance with Nathaniel after getting dressed, but she suddenly paused for a 

moment. 

“What’s wrong?” His glances alone were enough to make someone lose their breath. He was trying hard to contain himself in front of her, learning to be soft. Sometimes he thought he should try to be more feminine, but it was just not his thing. His only wish was for her to accept him and not be afraid of him. He knew that there were a lot of issues between them, and he needed time for them to bond. 

Freya looked into his eyes, trying to compose her words. He always thought that her eyes were beautiful. But there was something different in her eyes after these years. He could not understand it. She finally said, “It’s within twenty hours, so the contraceptive pills still work.”

His smile faded, but she was not scared since she decided to say it out. She was really unwilling to be pregnant with his baby, even though she could. Nathaniel pursed his lips and replied, “Freya, I will say this one more time. Abigail and I are not getting married for real. Her father got cancer, and he’s dying. I hope he can go in peace.”

replied emotionlessly, “Mr. Nathaniel, I don’t want my kid to be illegitimate!” 

His face darkened and he frowned, looking at her and saying, “Freya, gimme some time. We’re going to raise a kid together. It’s done for discussion.” 

He was furious, grabbing her hand and walking out of the villa. She could not catch up to him, as she was starting to pant and nearly stumble. Realizing his mistake, he stopped and took a deep breath. He did not gaze at her as he declared, “Frey, I aspire to have a child as beautiful as you.” Our baby must be good–looking.
