The fresh scent of grassy shower gel on Frey made Nathaniel's breathing falter.
Frey stood on tiptoe, closing the distance between her and Nathaniel. She looked up at him with a cold expression and laughed.
"Mr. Nathaniel! Watch your dog carefully! Don’t let it bite someone!"
The room fell silent.
Abigail immediately reacted, rushing toward Frey. "Who are you scolding?"
"Stop!"
"Ms. Abigail! Ms. Abigail!" Taylor hurriedly intervened to shield Frey. Abigail swung her hand, intending to slap Frey, but missed and hit Taylor hard on the forehead instead.
Ignoring the commotion, Frey turned and walked into Andala Corp's office. Abigail’s shouts of outrage echoed behind her.
Nathaniel stood frozen as if turned to stone, his face a mask of tension and helplessness.
Frey entered Andala Corp’s main entrance, which served several businesses. Mandy had leased the sixth and seventh floors.
Initially, to keep her identity under wraps, Mandy had avoided hiring too many people, running the space more like a private studio.
