“Sure!” He nodded, but they could not tell what he actually thought. 

Barbara was a smart and sensible woman. She smiled and looked at Abigail. “Abigail, you’re getting prettier day by day. The Rivera family owns a rose garden in Pontenero; we’ll sponsor you all the roses on your wedding day with Nathaniel.”

The pearl necklace was not as expensive as the diamond necklace, but it suited her skin tone, and with the dress, she looked elegant and graceful. 

And half of her face was covered in a black diamond mask, exposing only half of her nose and red lips.
