Chapter 67 Peyton is Kidnapped
“Who are you? What do you want? Release my friend! Otherwise, I’ll call the police!” Freya’s face turned pale.
A cold male voice came from the other side, “Ms. Gomez, we’re all smart people. It would be best if you didn’t call the police!”
“We’re all outlaws, hired by someone to solve their problems with money. Someone has paid a hefty price to acquire a certain component from your friend!”
“Where are you?” Freya’s breathing became shallow.
An evil laugh came from the other side, “Very clever! But as I said, don’t call the police. If you do, it won’t just be about a component. Get ready to collect your friend’s corpse!”
“If you don’t want anything to happen to your friend, why don’t you take her place? Who made you offend the wrong people?”
“Vanara Road, the easternmost club. Weren’t you working at Red Shift before? Remember to come, Let’s have some excitement!”
Freya clenched her fingers around her phone, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.
Her body trembled slightly, filled with fear and, more than anything, anger.
They shouldn’t have touched Peyton. They really shouldn’t have.
She hailed a taxi and headed to the scenic area near Vanara Road. The top–tier club was located there, nestled in layers of trees, giving off a somewhat eerie and terrifying vibe.
Private vehicles were not allowed to enter, so the taxi driver stopped by the roadside.
Unexpectedly, Freya handed him two thousand, leaving the driver startled.
He looked at the strange customer in the taxi, wearing a mask with a scar on her forehead.
“Sir, take this two thousand and wait here for me for half an hour. If I don’t come out, call the police. See that building right in front? Just say someone is being illegally detained and needs rescue.”
The taxi driver was taken aback but considered waiting for half an hour and earning two thousand. He nodded and agreed.
Ereya turned around and hurried towards the club.
Following the lush Vanara Trail towards the east, the constant cicada noises were deafening.
At this moment, Freya’s face became extremely serious, with a hint of coldness.
She had said before that it didn’t matter if they targeted her, but they should never lay a hand on her

Peyton was not only her friend but also her family, someone she absolutely couldn’t touch.
She didn’t dare call the police immediately earlier because even if she did, without capturing evidence on the spot, those people wouldn’t face severe legal consequences.
She had to risk it. She wanted to see how they would handle her this time.
She hoped that when the police arrived, they would leave her with some room to breathe.
The mastermind behind this couldn’t be anyone other than Jolin, Abigail, and….
Freya’s intuition told her that it might not be Nathaniel. Though Nathaniel would torment her, he wouldn’t harm Peyton. After all, Peyton was an ordinary nobody, not worth Nathaniel’s involvement. He couldn’t afford to lose face like that.
