Chapter 99 Heartbreak

Nathaniel leaned in, biting the scars on her shoulder. Freya cried out in pain, but he was merciless, ignoring her cries. Three years ago, he discovered she was Killian’s daughter, yet his lust for her remained undiminished.
Even at the height of his revenge against the Gomez family, he desired her company.
He brought her back to Newport Villa, opened the window of their room, and directed her gaze towards the Gomez estate, What he once considered a humiliation, he now realized, was not. His feelings for her had evolved.
Nathaniel’s assistants could only smile helplessly.
They found Nathaniel’s preferences peculiar. Whether it was Freya from three years ago or the present, she was the only woman he had been with.
Freya never anticipated Nathaniel’s assault in the helicopter. She thought she could endure it for the sake of Linda. Peyton, and Jacob, but Nathaniel’s ferocity exceeded her expectations.
Freya wept, pleading for mercy. However, Nathaniel, having suppressed his desire for three years, was provoked and did not relent.
The helicopter had already landed in the garden lot behind Newport Villa. Nathaniel narrowly prevented the crafty Freya from escaping.
To avoid further complications, he decided to keep her at Newport Villa.
Nathaniel rose slowly, his gaze falling on Freya’s frail back. A sense of panic washed over him. He was the one who had punished her, yet he was the one left feeling unsettled.
He yearned to comfort her, but the sight of her scarred back deterred him. His mood remained sour. He had always been resolute, and those who betrayed him met a grim fate. He had offered Freya a chance, but she had rejected it.
Nathaniel composed himself and strode out, a hint of fear lingering in his heart.

Before leaving, Nathaniel instructed Koen to take Peyton and Linda to the wellness center in East Saeville. The medical facilities there were far superior to the second–tier hospital where Linda had previously stayed.
He also ordered his men stationed with Jacob to stand down. He had to admit, Freya had pleased him
earlier.
He decided to spare those people for now.
Freya heard Nathaniel’s departing footsteps. The slamming of the partition door roused her from her
unconscious state.
She had never felt such exhaustion before. It felt as though she was on the brink of death, every bone in her body aching as if she had been through hell.
