The Queen Returns—And She's Unforgiving novel Chapter 104

"If you're not happy about it, you can always bring your husband here and have him fight for it." Flynn sneered.

He had been genuinely surprised when Evelyn got married.

Back then, he had a good impression of her. She was beautiful, calm, and composed. He had always thought she was a woman of substance and independent thinking. But then, out of nowhere, she got married.

Worse yet, she willingly gave up her career to become a housewife. Now she spent her days juggling men and kitchen duties. It felt like she had completely given up on herself.

From that point on, Flynn's admiration for her turned into disdain. As it turned out, she was no different from all those other women.

She was nothing like Tiffany—highly educated, capable, and independent, never relying on a man. But Evelyn couldn't care less about Flynn's opinion.

Still, it felt ironic. Her husband? Wasn't he standing right there, doting on another woman?

Just then, Justine came down from the fourth floor. She saw Flynn trying to provoke Evelyn again and stormed over. "What's your problem now?"

Evelyn held her hand and finally gave Flynn a cold glance. "We don't have any personal ties, Mr. Scott. So please, stay out of my business—it doesn't concern you."

She wasn't someone to be pushed around. She just chose to be courteous when appropriate. But if someone crossed the line, she wouldn't tolerate it.

Flynn froze. He didn't expect the usually mild-tempered Evelyn to be so blunt. For a moment, he didn't even know how to react.

When he finally did, his expression turned even more disdainful. It was as he expected. Compared to Tiffany, Evelyn really lacked grace. She couldn't even handle a single honest remark and was just deluding herself, as usual.
