Chapter 11 

Tiffany had only just stepped out of Lucas‘ office when someone from the secretariat came to carry her bag for her. “Ms. Moore, Mr, Grant is waiting for you at the restaurant to have lunch together. 

“He asked us to take you there once you’ve had enough rest. This is the coffee Mr. Grant prepared for you to drink on your way there. 

Tiffany smiled faintly as she accepted their attentive treatment. Her composed nature perfectly matched her confidence. 

Everyone in the office was treating her like she was Lucas‘ wife. 

Evelyn was surprised at the turn of events. Lucas‘ office was filled with confidential documents, yet he had allowed Tiffany to use it as her resting place. He had even arranged everything thoughtfully. 

Throughout their three years of marriage, Evelyn was not even allowed to step into his study in the villa. 

The difference between being loved and not was obvious, so why had she found the need to repeatedly confirm it? 

“Ms. Reed, could you please step aside? You’re blocking Ms. Moore’s way,” Michael reminded her, feeling irritated by Evelyn’s lack of tact. 

Evelyn pursed her lips. Even if she no longer cared about Lucas, she was still hurt by the stark contrast in how she was treated despite sacrificing three years of her life. 

She lowered her head and moved aside. Then, she turned to Michael, commenting, “Whenever Lucas is free, could you remind him about the div…” 

“Lucas?” Tiffany had already walked to the elevator when she seemed to notice Evelyn for the first time after hearing how Evelyn had addressed him. 

Her expression was nonchalant as she asked thoughtfully, “Is she also an employee within the company?” 

Evelyn frowned. Tiffany knew who she was but probably did not know that she worked at Bluzen. 

Taking a step forward, Michael answered, “Yes. She’s the manager of the PR department.” 

“That makes a lot of sense,” Tiffany replied impassively and collected her gaze. It was no wonder she had heard that the PR department had refused to handle her case. Everything added up if Evelyn was the manager. 

She smiled faintly, adding, “It seems like the working environment in Bluezen is quite casual. I never expected to hear an employee addressing their president by name.” 

She wasn’t even directing her words at Evelyn. 

Michael’s expression immediately changed, but Tiffany had already entered the lift and brushed off the incident. 

Once the elevator closed, he turned to Evelyn, reprimanding her, “Have you forgotten the basic etiquette in the workplace, Ms. Reed? Bluezen isn’t a small startup. Please don’t resort to petty tricks here. 

“Are you calling Mr. Grant by his full name to ensure other employees misunderstand your relationship with him? Don’t you ever do that unless you want to lose your job!” 

Evelyn frowned. She had always complied with Lucas‘ request, to the point where neither he nor the people around her were taking her seriously. 

They didn’t even believe that she wanted to resign. Did they think she was doing all that to get Lucas‘ attention? 

As for Tiffany… 

The woman did not even consider her as a threat, nor did she fear that Evelyn’s marriage with Lucas would be exposed. Why? 

It was because she was confident enough that she was loved. 

Even if Evelyn made a scene in the company, she would be the only one being humiliated. 

She would be labeled as the woman who “climbed into Lucas‘ bed, forced him into marriage, and tore the couple who were very much in love apart.”
