The formation of a project was never as simple as it seemed. It required integration from various areas. Financing was critical, but even more important was having a solid, central leadership within the partnership team.
Evelyn's gaze shifted briefly. While good partners were necessary, their country had an abundance of talented individuals. They weren't at the point where they needed to rely on Tiffany.
Sebastian understood Evelyn's thoughts. He glanced at her and, seeing that she hadn't said anything, spoke up. "We're still in the preparation stage. If there are any technical gaps, we'll definitely consider you, Ms. Moore."
This was clearly just a polite response. Tiffany wasn't discouraged, however, and smiled confidently. "Of course, I'm just expressing my sincerity to you, Mr. Hill. Feel free to consider it."
She responded gracefully, keeping the conversation polite.
Brandon admired Tiffany's confidence in her own abilities. However, he furrowed his brows slightly when he realized something. He was certain he hadn't been mistaken earlier.
He noticed that Sebastian had looked at Evelyn. Had Sebastian been seeking Evelyn's opinion? He never expected Sebastian to be so emotionally invested.
It seemed Sebastian was subtly refusing Tiffany because of his personal bias against her, and that disappointed Brandon. He had thought that Evelyn was simply using her charm to manipulate Sebastian, but now, it seemed more like Sebastian was the one who had developed an attachment.
Evelyn caught the lingering gaze, and without a second thought, she looked over at Brandon, her eyes cold and dismissive.
He was leaning back in his chair, casually sipping his tea. His lips were curled into a small smile.
But Sse didn't care to guess what he meant by it.
His expression faltered for a moment when he saw her cold indifference due to surprise. No wonder Sebastian was so eager. Evelyn really knew how to play hard to get.
Evelyn didn't care to entertain his thoughts. She quickly averted her gaze and noticed that Lucas had casually glanced over at her. His gaze was unreadable, and she wondered if it was because Sebastian had rejected Tiffany's approach and he was displeased with that.
