Businessmen always had to look at the profits. That was why Brandon still had to fight for it.
"Mr. Hill has decided that we already have options that are more suitable for our present needs. That said, thank you for your interest," Evelyn said calmly.
Sebastian mentioned yesterday that Silux Materials had an intention of working with them. However, Flying Seal Group was not so desperate that they had to choose a partner that held prejudices against their management team.
Turning them down gently was the best way to go.
It was clear that Brandon did not expect Evelyn to be the one to answer him.
He suddenly smiled and glanced at Justine. Then, as if he was joking, he said, "Ms. Scott, I know that Ms. Reed is your friend. Are you two so close that she can call the shots on behalf of the Flying Seal Group now?"
Flynn looked at Evelyn as well and said, "Could you pour us a glass of water, Ms. Reed?"
Evelyn was supposed to bring drinks and entertain guests instead of managing potential partners. She was not supposed to be putting on airs in the company just because she was close to Justine and Sebastian.
Evelyn looked at Flynn.
Before she could say anything, Justine said with a sullen expression, "Does your company have trouble paying for the water bill?"
Justine stared at Flynn and Brandon, casually saying, "As for Evie's right to call the shots, she's the person in charge of the project, so of course, she has a say in this."
Brandon frowned. He could tell that Justine was a person who would speak her mind.
They knew that Evelyn had been assigned as the person in charge of the Flying Seal Group project, but she was only there in name.
Was it necessary to mention it at all?
Flynn stood up and wanted to say something when Sebastian entered. He was holding two cups of coffee in his hands.
He raised an eyebrow as soon as he saw Flynn and Brandon. After he greeted them, he handed Evelyn the first cup of coffee and said, "Half sweet. But I didn't get ice for you. You should have it hot."
Evelyn smiled after she accepted it.
